They say crime doesn’t pay, and it certainly didn’t this time.
Philadelphia is known as “The City of Brotherly Love,” but they were anything but that after an individual committed grand theft auto, and not just any grand theft auto, but stealing the car of Eagles superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown. The Super Bowl champion’s vehicle was stolen Sunday night.
“Dear Philly- To whoever stole my car last night, I’ll make a deal with you,” wrote Brown in a Monday morning X post, later deleting it. “Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Take it or leave it my guy.”
Brown also issued another warning to the thief in an Instagram Story video. (RELATED: Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, Will Face Off Against Transgender Model In Miss Maine Pageant)
“Come on Philly, you stole my whip last night,” said Brown. “I’ll make a deal with you bro, just bring the whip back bro, I won’t press charges … you’re smooth with it, though, you pulled up at 3:42, you got up out of there at 3:45. You’re fast on your feet, real fast, but I’ll show you how fast I am on my feet … you might as well pull back up and drop [the car] off bro. We know where you’re at right now.”
Only hours after the clip, Brown put out another video saying that both the thief and his vehicle were found.
“We already got the whip,” said Brown. “See, I told you to just turn the car back in … now you gotta deal with the consequences man.”
