Best wishes to JJ.
The Pacific Palisades has leaked into the sports realm, as Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has been impacted directly by the wildfires. The area, where JJ and his family reside, was devastated by the blaze Tuesday.
Per the Los Angeles Fire Department, over 36,000 people and 13,000 buildings are located in the evacuation zone, which is being branded “under immediate threat.” (RELATED: Ted Cruz, JD Vance Just Slapped A Bet Against Each Other For Texas-Ohio State Game)
Redick stated that his family, as well as his wife’s family, were forced to evacuate.
The skipper of the Lakers spoke about the situation prior to the road game against the Dallas Mavericks.
“I just want to acknowledge and send thoughts and prayers to everyone in the Palisades right now. That’s where I live. Our family, my wife’s family, my wife’s twin sister, they’ve evacuated,” Redick said to the press Tuesday. “I know a lot of people are freaking out right now, including my family. From the sound of things, I know a lot of people are scared. So I just want to acknowledge that. Thoughts and prayers for sure, and hope everybody stays safe.”

This is rough stuff for JJ and his family, but I can’t help but to wonder why the hell California can’t get their wildfire situation under control. As a weather enthusiast, I pay attention to that realm quite consistently, and one of the events I watched just recently was a CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE — something that has been going on for years and years now with no efforts to stop them.
Like damn, the left really doesn’t take care of anything.
