Hmm… Did Caitlin Clark pull a LeBron James?
It’s been quite the coaching carousel in the WNBA to begin the offseason, and now we have another franchise making changes at the head coaching position. This time, it’s the Indiana Fever, who announced Sunday that they have “parted ways” with Christie Sides.
Led by the WNBA Rookie of the Year and 2024 WNBA Draft No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark, the Fever are fresh off their first playoff appearance since 2016. (RELATED: Caitlin Clark Knocks Down Not One, Not Two, Not Three, But 25 Consecutive Three-Pointers During Offseason Workout)
Sides was the head coach of Indiana for two seasons, going 33-47 in that stretch with a 20-20 finish in the 2024 campaign. Things came to an end for the Fever when they were swept in two games by the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the postseason.
In a complete revamp, Indiana will head into 2025 with a new head coach, general manager and president.

Sides appeared to make a comment on her firing in a Twitter post Sunday afternoon.
Leave it better than you found it.✌🏼

I can’t help but to wonder if Caitlin Clark was involved with this decision, because quite frankly, it just doesn’t make sense to me. And at this point, Clark would certainly have the power to do so.
That’s just me speculating though, but I do know one thing: Christie Sides is gonna be missing the hell out of this.
Just Caitlin Clark out here doing Caitlin Clark things! 🔥
