Oh boy…
The whole of Florida is awaiting Hurricane Milton, currently a Category 5, as it’s set to make landfall overnight Thursday. But despite still being in the Gulf of Mexico, the historical storm is already causing problems for the Sunshine State. The Cardinal Gibbons High School football team (Fort Lauderdale, FL) took to Twitter to show how their home stadium is holding up from the early remnants they’ve been getting hit with from Milton, and as you’ll see in the footage below, it’s absolutely flooded out because of the rain they’ve already received.
Hurricane Milton is slated to pummel into Florida around 2:00 a.m. ET, with the biggest impact being on the west coast of the state (where I live, yay!), but more in particular, it appears that it will directly hit the Tampa Bay and South Suncoast areas.

Crazy stuff.
For actual Hurricane Milton coverage, follow me on Twitter, where I’ve been 100% spot-on with my analysis and predictions, including having it as a Category 5 (twice) before anybody else.
Like earlier Tuesday (my original Cat 5 prediction happened Saturday, two whole days before anybody else had it at that level):
BREAKING NEWS: Hurricane MIlton nearly regains its Category 5 strength after its eyewall replacement cycle. With this being the case, still having hot Gulf waters to go through and pressure dropping yet again, I expect it to be upgraded back to a Cat 5 within the next 30 minutes.

UPDATE: My models already have Hurricane Milton being a Category 5 again, has been for a while, just waiting for the official word from NHC. https://t.co/8jR3XV04j3
