Could we be looking at a legacy recovery for FSU?
The Florida State Seminoles‘ college football season has been horrendous, and even that label is an understatement as they’ve crumbled to a 1-9 record in November. But despite that, the program is still pulling in incredible intrigue when it comes to their open positions on head coach Mike Norvell’s staff. According to Norvell himself, the team is receiving “tremendous interest” from coaches, including ones that are in the National Football League.
After the Noles were hammered Saturday in a 52-3 thrashing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Norvell made the move to fire both offensive coordinator Alex Atkins and defensive coordinator Adam Fuller. Ron Dugans, who was the wide receivers coach of Florida State, also lost his job.

Mike Norvell had to do something. The Noles have lost six straight games, and in the last three weeks, they’ve been outscored by a whopping 123-28. Not only has it been bad football this season, but it’s progressively gotten worse. Moves had to be made.
With that being said though, the pressure will be on Norvell next year to win, especially if he brings in NFL coaches and NIL brings in another top recruiting class. And judging by how things are looking right now, both are strong possibilities.
I hope Norvell is ready, because that target on his back is going to be huge next year.
