Former “Last Chance U” star Jason Brown has reportedly slapped Netflix with a lawsuit.
While coaching at Independence Community College (ICC) in Kansas, Brown starred in the high-profile documentary series centered around JUCO football.
In seasons three and four of the show, the Pirates were the centerpiece, but things weren’t all the way peachy. Brown was reportedly forced to resign from his position after he allegedly texted one of his players, “I am your new Hitler.”

According to a report from TMZ, Brown has filed a lawsuit against Netflix and is seeking $30 million for “portraying him in a false and offensive light through selective editing and misrepresentation.”
Per the outlet, the ex-coach of ICC claims that Netflix “cut, pasted, edited, and distorted” footage of him “to depict him as a volatile, abusive tyrant for their financial gain.” (RELATED: Nick Saban Piles Up Several FCC Complaints For Dropping Swear Words On ESPN: REPORT)
Brown alleges that multiple college football and XFL teams offered him contracts that were worth over $500,000, according to TMZ. However, those offers allegedly went away after the series was broadcasted.
In response to those allegations, Brown wants a payday from Netflix, according to TMZ, including $10 million in reputational damage, $10 million in lost income, $5 million in punitive damages and $5 million in emotional distress.
Netflix has reportedly been hit with portrayal lawsuits from other individuals related to “Last Chance U” as well.
