“Floribama Shore” star Kirk Medas is hospitalized in an intensive care unit battling necrotizing pancreatitis and is hooked up to a ventilator to breathe, former co-stars confirmed.

Friends and loved ones are rallying around Medas in his time of need. His family has set up a GoFundMe account to assist with the mounting medical bills.

“He is sedated and this could take some time to heal,” Sean Staples wrote on the crowdfunding page. “We are praying that he has a full recovery but this process could take some time. The donation will help for medical bills and rehab. He has no medical insurance so your donations will be greatly appreciated.”

The Medas family urged fans to “Please continue to uplift Kirk in your prayers.”

Nilsa Prowant, another star on the since-cancelled MTV series, told TMZ that Medas has been hospitalized for almost two weeks and noted the financial impact of the actor’s long road to recovery. She told the outlet she traveled to Miami to see Medas and observed him on a ventilator. She added that all money raised through the crowdfunding site would go toward medical bills and rehabilitation.

Aimee Elizabeth Hall, also formerly of the MTV show, took to Instagram. “Our friend Kirk has been in the ICU for over two weeks now, battling a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis. He’s currently on a ventilator, and the situation is incredibly serious. Nilsa has been flying back and forth to Miami to be by his side,” she wrote, adding that she received daily updates from the Medas’ friends and roommates.

A total of 866 individuals have donated over $22,000 of the $100,000 goal for the GoFundMe as of publication.

No further information was provided about the circumstances leading up to the actor’s medical condition, and it remains unclear if he will make a full recovery.

Medas’ last Instagram post was shared two weeks ago, and showed him smiling in front of a natural setting with water behind him. He captioned the images with the words “Really trim.” (RELATED: ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Star Danielle Vasinova Reveals She Was Clinically Dead For Three Minutes)
