Holy hell! I thought I was the only one who noticed this!

An ex-PGA Tour professional wishes CBS broadcaster Jim Nantz was more critical of Rory McIlroy after he missed a par putt on the 18th hole that would’ve clinched the Masters without the eventual playoff against Justin Rose.

While removing himself from the bunker Sunday, McIlroy only had feet to go to meet par and cement his history at Augusta National. Unfortunately for McIlroy, the putt went left which sent him into a sudden-death playoff against Rose, who earlier hit a birdie on the same hole to tally an 11-under score. As we all know though, McIlroy birdied on the 18th in the playoff to both defeat Rose and finish the career Grand Slam.

With that being said, former PGA Tour star Steve Elkington took to Twitter after Nantz said and only said, “We’re going to a playoff,” following McIlroy putting in a bogey to drop to 11-under.

“That could be the greatest collapse in golf history & f*cking CBS says, ‘we have a playoff,’” posted Elkington.

I had the same response when I heard Jim Nantz say that, and I’ll take it even further, the pro-Rory McIlroy bias was absolutely horrible throughout the entirety of Masters week. There was no criticism of the man whatsoever, just pure bias.

Let’s do better, CBS. The glazing was totally uncalled for.
