Harrison Ford admitted he’ll be stepping back from his acting career in the near future during Wednesday’s interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
Ford admitted he’s thinking about what life will be like for him outside of acting and said he has a few plans he’s looking forward to.
“I have things in my life outside of movies,” the “Star Wars” actor said in the interview.
When asked what was next for him, his answer was simple. “To stop working,” the legendary star responded.
Ford won’t be leaving the spotlight immediately, but his plan to begin stepping away from Hollywood seems to be on the horizon.
The actor is committed to his ongoing projects and is putting his energy toward completing his jobs.
“But I wanna finish what I’m doing,” Ford said.
The actor has a big movie on the horizon. He’s co-starring with Anthony Mackie in “Captain America: Brave New World” and plays U.S. President Thaddeus Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ford spoke about what it was like to join the comic book superhero movie.
“I’ve always wanted to work in different genres for different audiences,” the actor told the WSJ.
“And when I have seen the Marvel movies that I’ve seen — I haven’t seen that many of them — I watched some really wonderful actors have a really good time. And I thought, ‘hey, why not get me a piece of that,’” he said.

Ford knows precisely what he wants to do when he says goodbye to the big screen.
“I’d like to spend more time flying,” he told the WSJ, reminding fans about his passion for aviation.
There’s also one other very important thing Ford wants to focus on when his career slows down.
“I’d like to spend more time with my family at home,” he continued.
Ford is a father of five, including his adopted son Liam, who he shares with Calista Flockhart. The two have been together since 2002 and have been married since 2010. (RELATED: Harrison Ford’s Latest Project Involves Whisky, And We’re All-In)
