What a disgrace!

While an in-game segment was happening, the Charlotte Hornets gave a young fan a PlayStation 5 (PS5) … just to snatch it back when the cameras were off. The move sparked up viral anger across the sports world, and now the franchise is trying to right their wrong by attempting to return the PS5 to the kid, or so they say. I personally have trust issues. (RELATED: A Fake Sport Is Beating China-Enabling NBA In TV Ratings, Proving More That Culture No Longer Belongs To The Left)

The segment took place during a break in a home game for the Hornets against the Philadelphia 76ers, with Charlotte’s mascot (named Hugo) playing the role of Santa Claus and appearing to hook children up with some pretty cool presents.

On paper, it looked like it was a fantastic gesture by the Hornets, while the kid was going to have a grade-A Christmas. But then a text conversation started spreading on social media making the claim that everything was a gimmick.

After taking away his PS5, the Hornets allegedly gave the kid a Charlotte jersey like they have any worth.

And now, per a statement, the Hornets are trying to smooth everything over by giving the boy his PS5 and a VIP experience at a future home game.

But like I said… Trust issues.

What a horrible look … I mean a horrible look for a professional sports franchise, wow.
