Wow! What a kill!
Earlier in December, a gargantuan 14-point buck was killed that could potentially set a new state record in Louisiana for a typical whitetail. The deer was hunted in Catahoula Parish. Before a record can be set, the buck’s rack would have to be scored by officials following a drying period. But there’s honestly no denying that this animal is an absolute beauty. The son of Realtree founder Bill Jordan and the host of his own hunting television program, Tyler Jordan says he killed the deer Dec. 5. Jordan was at Honey Brake Lodge when he hunted it down, which is a high-profile and expensive outfitter located in the Louisiana Delta.
“Never thought my biggest whitetail would be taken down in Louisiana,” wrote Jordan on Instagram. “But I’m grateful for the opportunity and the pursuit of this buck we’ve been keeping up with these past three years.”
Growing up in the south, I’ve been around hunting and wildlife pretty much my entire existence, so I’ve seen some beautiful deer along the way. But this most certainly would be one of the most elite. I mean, look at how immaculate the rack is. Imagine how awesome that would look on your wall.
I’ve killed a couple of bucks, nothing too major, and obviously nothing compared to this — how you would feel after killing this guy would have to be amazing!
