The Indy 500 is serious!
Drivers in the IndyCar Series are currently on the track for Fast Friday, meaning teams are preparing for qualifying this weekend. And while, yes, it’s only practice, this is Indy 500 practice, so things tend to get a bit serious sometimes. And that’s exactly what happened Thursday.
When you have cars easily going over 200 mph, it’s understandable why drivers get a little antsy from time to time, just like Nolan Siegel (Arrow McLaren) when we went off on Christian Rasmussen (Ed Carpenter Racing). When Siegel was about to take his turn, Rasmussen shot by him while on the inside, and it didn’t take long for Siegel to let out his frustrations over the radio.
“Rasmussen is such a f*cking idiot,” said Siegel prior to saying Rasmussen was already on his sh*t list. “He’s already on the list of idiots, but there are too many of them, he’s like, above everyone else.”
