At least he missed that dreadful Bills game…

While on the field for the national anthem, a Detroit Lions fan trash talked Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, and it resulted in the former losing his season tickets.

Prior to the Lions‘ home game against the Green Bay Packers (Dec. 5), season ticket holder Fahad Yousif was permitted to be on the field to hold the American flag while the national anthem was happening. Well, during or close to the singing of the anthem, Yousif was trash-talking to a few of the Green Bay players, which then led to LaFleur yelling at Yousif in response.

“I started trash-talking the other team, so I get that, but I really don’t think getting to this level was necessarily warranted,” said Yousif. (RELATED: Forget Cats In Ohio, Panthers’ Xavier Legette Admits That He’s Out Here Eating Raccoons)

After the incident, Yousif was kicked out of Ford Field at halftime of the game, and then just days later, Monday, he said he got an email from the Detroit organization that they revoked his season tickets.

“It was terrible, I didn’t think it was real at first. To completely revoke my tickets and never let me be a season ticket member again, it hurts. It hurts bad,” said Yousif.

But it wasn’t just his lost season tickets that Yousif suffered, he’s also banned from going to any NFL game until he finishes an online code of conduct course. And to make it worse, the course costs a whopping $250.

A bit overblown, sure, but who trash talks during the national anthem?
