The NFL should’ve let him slide.
Evan Engram, a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars who punished Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair following his vicious knock against quarterback Trevor Lawrence, has been slapped with a fine for getting involved with the situation. For his pop on Al-Shaair and smashing his face into the field in the name of retaliation, Engram was issued a $11,255 fine by the NFL. After the hit on Lawrence, as well as the actions from Engram against Al-Shaair, a major brawl broke out between the Jags and Texans, with both benches getting completely cleared.
