Just Jemele Hill out here being ignorant … What else is new?
Following the victory of President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election, failed sports pundit Jemele Hill said on Twitter that she had no comment, even though she technically did by writing a post, but whatever. Hill even stated that she was going to honor all of our demands by sticking to sports.
But to nobody’s surprise, that didn’t last long at all as Hill has broken her short-lived political silence, giving her post-election take like we actually care about it. And of course, she’s blaming racism and sexism and all that blah, blah, blah for Trump’s win.
While rambling on about taking Trump’s victory “personally,” she made the claim that Kamala Harris is an “overqualified” black woman who crumbled because of American culture being the boogeyman. And to make it even more hilarious, she said that she was also “overqualified.” HA! (RELATED: Megan Rapinoe Is Back In Our Lives Spewing A Bunch Of Nonsense, And Can She Just Go Away Already?)
“I take the reelection of Donald Trump quite personally because of the person themselves, but also as a black woman,” said Hill on her podcast. “And that is because I think for a lot of black women, we can relate to Kamala Harris just in the sense of some of us have been in that position before where we felt qualified, if not overqualified in many respects.”
LMAO … okay.
“And I don’t think it’s by any accident that both of Trump’s presidential victories have been against women,” continued Hill. “I hate to use the word ‘ready,’ but at what point will America be ready for a woman to be in that role? I think it’s a question we have to ask ourselves, is this like, what is it going to take? Because I see all this post-election autopsies trying to box around what I think was pretty obvious about how racism and misogyny were driving a lot of the coverage, the opinions and even how the ‘electoriate’ [sic] saw Kamala Harris.”
