County Circuit Judge Terrence McGann sentenced “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Karen Huger to two years in jail Wednesday in relation to a DUI incident.

Huger was sentenced to a two-year prison term with one year suspended during a hearing in Montgomery County, Maryland, court, according to the New York Post. Prosecutors previously said they were only seeking six months, while Huger’s legal representatives were requesting rehabilitation instead of jail time. The 61-year-old star was found guilty of five out of six charges in December 2024, including driving under the influence, negligent driving, failure to control speed and failure to notify authorities of an address change. She was acquitted of the reckless driving charge.

Huger was arrested in March 2024 after she crashed her Maserati into a median and several street signs while allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed in Potomac, Maryland.

Judge McGann made a statement about the disgraced star’s history with alcohol-related offenses during the sentencing hearing, noting she had three previous arrests and served no jail time before the incident in question.

“Karen Huger is no stranger to driving drunk on our public roads,” he said, according to the New York Post.

“One would have thought that Ms. Huger would have learned her lesson in 2007,” but before the “ink had even dried” on that DUI arrest, she was arrested again, he said.

“Karen Huger certainly had the hang of working the system and all prior warning had gone in one ear and out the other,” McGann said. “Can we believe she has only driven while intoxicated four times in the last 17 years?”

“What’s the guarantee she is done driving while drunk?” McGann continued. “Unfortunately, there is no guarantee.”

Huger requested leniency before her sentence was handed down.

“I needed to take a hard look at myself,” she said, according to the New York Post. “There was a sense of entitlement that I could keep on consuming alcohol: ‘I have been successful. Why should I give up this indulgence?”

She admitted the situation could have been much worse. (RELATED: Police Slap Reality Star Tony Raines With 6 Charges: REPORT)

“Thank God I didn’t hit a person,” she reportedly told the judge.

Bodycam footage of Huger’s arrest was released shortly after the incident, and at one point the video captured her saying, “I’m lit,” as she struggled to exit the police vehicle.
