The left will be the ultimate death of the West, and here’s a grade-A example.
Since getting back into the White House, one of the top things that has been on President Donald Trump’s agenda is to dismantle the whole nonsense with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). On paper, it looks like a perfect Utopia with more diversity and background, but that’s the thing … it stays on paper and doesn’t translate to real life.
With DEI, companies are forced to seek out candidates based solely on their characteristics that they did not choose, such as what color they are or their sex. In other words, they’re being forced to discriminate by the government. With this being the case, the NFL seemingly decided to roll back some of their DEI efforts. Well, USA Today liberal columnist Jarrett Bell isn’t happy about it, because of course he isn’t. And Monday, he decided to write a column coined, “Is NFL caving to anti-DEI movement? The optics don’t look good.”
In his piece, Bell calls on the NFL to defy the president and carry on with DEI, and not just that, but he wants the league to ratchet up things worse than what they already are.
“President Donald Trump’s administration has waged an all-out war on DEI. More than 30 states have passed or introduced legislation that eliminates or restricts DEI initiatives,” wrote Bell. “So many companies in corporate America have buckled and rolled back DEI commitments. Now is the perfect time for the socially-conscious NFL to keep its accelerator program front and center (even with tweaks) as a clear statement that doubles down on its DEI pledge.”
Opinion from @JarrettBell – The NFL has put its coaching accelerator program designed to bolster diversity efforts on hold.
It makes the NFL look weak against anti-DEI efforts.
