Inter Miami is setting up for another run, let’s just hope it actually works this time.
Superstar forward Luis Suárez has inked a one-year contract extension with Inter Miami, which will result in the global name being a part of Major League Soccer again in the 2025 campaign.
Joining the Herons last December on a one-year deal, Suárez finished in a second place tie for the MLS Golden Boot, which is the leading scorer in the league. And on top of that, he was nominated for the 2024 MLS newcomer of the year award. (RELATED: Inter Miami Names Javier Mascherano As Next Head Coach)
“I’m very happy, very excited to continue for another year and to be able to enjoy being here with this fanbase, which for us is like family. We feel very, very connected with them, and hopefully, next year, we can bring them even more joy,” stated Suárez.
In 30 matches for Inter Miami, Suárez recorded 21 goals and 10 assists, helping lead the Herons to the 2024 Supporter’s Shield. Inter Miami also broke the MLS record for most points collected in one season.

As an Inter Miami fan, I’m still a little irritated with my boys for not winning the MLS Cup, but I won’t lie. Each move is like a slap of relief — I’ll take it.
