The latest edition of The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll was released Sunday, and we’ve got a couple of major movements with the biggest highlight being Miami eclipsing Texas for the No. 5 spot. It’s the highest ranking for the Hurricanes since 2017.
The other big movement came from Notre Dame, who shot up four slots to get into the top 10 at No. 8. BYU and Texas A&M also join the Fighting Irish as new members of the top 10. (RELATED: Outright Chaos Nearly Breaks Out As LSU, Texas A&M Get Into Pregame Scuffle)

Last week, I complained about Miami not being in the top five. We should’ve been after Texas lost to Georgia while we were still undefeated with the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
Nice to see the committee finally feels the same way. Better late than never, I guess. (I’m watching out for that anti-Miami nonsense, national media)
