Music legends Neil Young and Stephen Stills will take the stage together to headline “Light Up The Blues 7.”
The Autism Speaks fundraising concert will take place at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and will feature performances by Billy Idol and Cat Power. Fans will also be treated to appearances by Linda Perry and Christian Applegate, according to a Rolling Stone report published Tuesday. Tickets will be available for purchase Feb. 28 and are expected to go quickly.

The Los Angeles wildfires originally made it challenging to schedule the concert series.
“The focus was on a huge fundraising effort for the fire victims, which Stephen was also a part of at FireAid,” “Light Up The Blues” co-host and organizer Kristen Stills said. “It obviously just would have been incredibly insensitive to start talking about an event in the spring when we had this immediate need going on here locally.”
Adding to the complexity was the fact that a number of artists are preparing to embark on spring tours. Stills and the rest of the hard-working organizers kept pushing through on the plans, and performers began to commit to the great cause. Rolling Stone noted that Billy Idol was one of the first to sign on.
Stephen Stills expressed his excitement about the upcoming show.
“Neil is always supportive and ready to rock,” he said.

“And then we go from there. Anybody who wants to come and play with us is welcome,” he told Rolling Stone.
Performers with autism are part of the collaborative effort to raise money and awareness. “Love on the Spectrum” star Abbey Romeo and television and film composer John Frizzel have also been tapped for the event. Speaking of Frizzel, Kristen said, “we arranged to have him come up to the house because he had been diagnosed with autism as an older adult not too long ago.”
She went on to say, “Autism Speaks helped him navigate that journey of announcing publicly that he has autism. And the next natural thing was to ask him to be a part of this show. As it turned out, he had just formed a bluegrass band where every member is on the spectrum.”
