I’m over here dying! LMAO!

While speaking Monday at the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl ceremony at the White House, President Donald Trump stated he had a conversation with the New York Giants and that he told them to not let running back Saquon Barkley leave in free agency.

New York denies that any talks like that happened.

During Trump’s speech, he brought up the Eagles’ tush push and even pop superstar Taylor Swift. Trump also spoke about last offseason’s biggest free agency signing, and that was Barkley going to Philly.

“I was with the Giants and the head coach and some people and I said, ‘Do anything you have to, but don’t lose Saquon,’” Trump said about Barkley, labeling him “a handsome guy.” (RELATED: ‘How Did That Work Out?’: Trump Makes Hilarious Taylor Swift Joke During Eagles’ White House Visit)

“They lost Saquon. That was not good. I called that one. That was an easy one to call because he played damn well for the Giants, I can tell you that,” said Trump.

Pat Hanlon, the spokesperson for the Giants, told Front Office Sports “there were no conversations” between the franchise and the U.S. president regarding Barkley.

The outlet contacted New York for confirmation of the talks or if there was any comment that could be made, which led Hanlon to simply say, “no.” Afterwards, he then pushed FOS towards his own account on Twitter.

“With all due respect, stop yapping. Be the leader we all want you to be. And my 401K wants you to be. I’m trying to retire!!” wrote Hanlon, who tagged Trump in the post.

Oh man, the comedy of this story is so great.
