Things just got a lot worse for New York sports fans…

The people in the Big Apple have it bad right now when it comes to their fandom. The Giants and Jets are disasters, Yankees and Mets fans just got put through hell with the Juan Soto saga, the Knicks will surely choke in the playoffs again, and both of their hockey teams are nothing special. Well, things just got more negative, as one of their own — legendary “The Daily Show” comedian Jon Stewart — ended up losing a bet against Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson and was forced to wear a Philadelphia Eagles jersey. And this happened at Madison Square Garden right in the middle of a bunch of depressed New Yorkers.

The bet stemmed from a game between the Giants and Eagles.

Stewart followed through Saturday night when the Knicks squared off against the Los Angeles Lakers, and it should be noted: Not only was Stewart wearing a Birds jersey, but it was a Saquon Barkley jersey. You know, the former Giant who New York thought was washed up, and ever since then, he’s been killin’ it to lead Philly to Super Bowl LIX.

Yeah, NYC wasn’t feeling it, and they booed the ever-loving hell out of Stewart as a result.
