Actresses Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek appeared to collide in a tense run-in at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week in September.
The awkward exchanged played out on camera as Kidman apparently pushed Hayek’s hand away, trying to distance herself while paparazzi swarmed around them. A photographer could be heard asking for “one more” shot, and it appeared Hayek tried to physically turn Kidman toward him — which is when the situation seemed to escalate.

Kidman donned a black turtleneck dress, sheer tights and bold sunglasses, shielding her eyes from the flash and onlookers who surrounded her on all sides. She seemingly wanted to escape from the photographers as Hayek attempted to physically turn Kidman back around to face them.
The A-listers shared an inaudible verbal exchange, and the expression on Hayek’s face made it clear that she was shocked by what Kidman had said.

Kidman seemingly wanted nothing to do with this unfolding scene, and kept trying to turn away from the cameraman and their flashing lights.
She turned to Hayek and pushed her hand away while she attempted to leave the area. Kidman paused long enough to greet Katy Perry before brushing past Hayek again.

Hayek responded to Kidman, at one point appearing to say, “Yes, please,” but it’s unclear to what she was responding.
