Without a doubt, Denver Nuggets superstar Russell Westbrook is one of the greatest talents to ever play in the NBA, especially when you’re talking about point guards. He’s already been placed on an elite list such as the NBA’s 75th anniversary team, and when it’s time to be put into the Hall of Fame, he’ll most certainly go in on the first ballot. Westbrook has been in the league for a whopping 17 years now, and despite the wear and tear, the 36-year-old is still playing at the top of his game. In fact, he’s been a crucial piece to the Nuggets this season filling a key role as their backup point guard. And even more impressive, he’s cranked things up with center Nikola Jokic being out because of personal reasons.
Already the all-time leader in NBA history when it comes to career triple-doubles, Westbrook went into Tuesday night’s contest taking on the Memphis Grizzlies with a total of 199 on his resume. In the fourth quarter, he tallied rebound No. 10, bumping his number up to 200 career triple-doubles. And if that wasn’t cool enough, Westbrook became the first player ever to accomplish the historical feat.
