Police reportedly arrested former NFL star Jay Cutler for driving while intoxicated and gun possession Thursday.
A representative for the Franklin Police Department (FPD) in Tennessee said Cutler was also charged with failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law and possession of a handgun while under the influence, according to TMZ.
The circumstances surrounding Cutler’s arrest have not been released at the time of publication, though initial reports indicate he was taken into custody and booked into the Williamson County Jail, the outlet reported.
Cutler posted a $5,000 bond and was released the same night, FPD officials told the outlet.
Cutler was famously married to Kristin Cavallari and starred in the reality television show, “Very Cavallari,” which focused on their family life in Nashville with their three children. Cutler and Cavallari divorced in 2022.
The veteran athlete spent 12 years in the NFL as a quarterback for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins. His career began with the Broncos in 2006 and he retired from the Dolphins in 2017. (RELATED: BTS Singer Suga Says He Picked Up Fine For Unconventional DUI)
