Police in Argentina reportedly raided CasaSur Palermo Hotel o Wednesday night as part of the investigation into Liam Payne’s tragic death.
Law enforcement officials in Buenos Aires reviewed electronic and paper records from the hotel in relation to the former One Direction star’s Oct. 16th fall from the hotel’s third-floor balcony, according to TMZ. The police reportedly took documents, film records and footage of the establishment’s underground section, as well as information inside folders and on hotel workers’ computers. They are hoping to determine the source that sold drugs to Payne before his death, sources said.

Police sources noted that the police are investigating a hotel worker they suspect of being the person responsible for procuring drugs for the famous singer, according to TMZ.
Insiders said the police believe Payne was in a state of semi or total unconsciousness when he fell from the balcony. Investigators think the position of his body when it was found in the courtyard below suggested there was no attempt to protect himself as he plummeted to the ground, according to TMZ.

Payne’s father, Geoff, travelled to Buenos Aires from the United Kingdom and has been actively assisting the police with their investigation into his son’s death, TMZ reported.
Toxicology reports generated from the initial autopsy showed Payne had “pink cocaine” in his system at the time of his death, sources told ABC News. Payne was just 31 years old at the time of his death. The investigation continues.
