Police reportedly arrested “Ugly Betty” star Eric Mabius for battery and resisting an officer without violence Thursday.
The veteran actor was taken into custody on the two misdemeanor charges and was booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center in Florida just before 6:00 a.m., according to TMZ. The outlet reported that his mugshot showed a cut near his right eye and purple bruising on his face. The circumstances leading up to his arrest are not clear as of Thursday afternoon.

Mabius starred in a number of shows in the late 1990s, before he achieved mainstream fame for his role in “Ugly Betty.”

His many credits include “Chicago Hope,” “Party of Five,” “Get Real,” “The O.C.,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “Blue Bloods,” “Chicago Fire,” “Outcasts,” as well as a recurring role on “The L Word.”
