President Trump! The Birds! It’s on!
Recently, there were rumors floating around that the Philadelphia Eagles would not be attending the White House to celebrate winning Super Bowl LIX. But come to find out, that was all fake news, and President Donald Trump made the announcement Tuesday that the Eagles will be receiving an invitation. Back in 2018 when the Birds won the Super Bowl, they decided not to visit Trump at the White House. But here in 2025, things are different, as OutKick reported Monday that the team would be attending to debunk a wave of fake news that they weren’t. Trump later said to the press that he would be inviting the Eagles.
“They will be [invited]. We haven’t yet, but we will be,” said Trump. “I thought it was a great performance by them. Absolutely, they’ll be extended an invitation. We’ll do it right away, we’ll do it some time today. They deserve to be down here, and we hope to see them.”

I knew from the moment I saw the news Sunday that it was fake. I get the whole scene in 2018, but holy hell, things were so different back then. The Eagles are just out here playing the meter wherever it goes, which is usually how any brand does it. “Business is business” as they say.
It’s Trump’s culture now, and it shows here.
