A major pro-Israel summit in Dallas has been postponed “indefinitely” due to escalating threats from “violent Jihadists,” marking the second year in a row the event has been derailed by security concerns.

HaYovel, the group that cohosted the event, on Thursday postponed the Israel Summit, scheduled for June 9-11 with over 1,000 confirmed attendees, citing “escalating safety concerns and mounting external pressure.” The organizers said in a press release that they received “indirect and direct threats made by American, pro-Hamas, Jihadist groups, who issued calls to ‘target’ the Israel Summit and the private facility where the event was slated to be held.”

The event was also disrupted last year, when pro-Hamas activists forced organizers to move it away from Nashville. Radio personality Dave Ramsey stepped in and hosted the summit at his Tennessee headquarters, Jewish News Syndicate reported.

One scheduled speaker, former ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman, said this year’s event “was forced to cancel because of threats from violent Jihadists.”

“Law enforcement was completely cooperative[,] but the threats were of a nature that required cancellation,” Friedman went on. “When @POTUS says we need to take our country back, this is a good example of what he means!”

Joshua Waller, the director of operations at HaYovel, echoed Friedman’s frustration, saying, “Every option was explored, yet ultimately, no safe path forward remained—a reality organizers never imagined possible in the United States,” according to Jewish News Syndicate.

Anti-Semitic incidents have surged in the United States following Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel.

Mohamed Soliman, an illegal immigrant from Egypt, on Sunday threw Molotov cocktails and used a makeshift flamethrower on peaceful pro-Israel Boulder, Colo., demonstrators—injuring 15 victims between the ages of 52 and 88, including a Holocaust survivor. In May, anti-Israel terrorist Elias Rodriguez murdered two Israeli embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, as the young couple left an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.

The last-minute cancellation comes just days after the Dallas Police Department elevated the summit’s security designation to a “high-threat event,” which already forced the summit to relocate to a “new and significantly safer location just north of Dallas,” according to Jewish News Syndicate.
