Alleged victim Vanessa LeMaistre accused prominent hip-hop producer Metro Boomin of rape in a lawsuit filed Oct. 29.
LeMaistre claimed Metro Boomin raped her in 2016 and that she knew and trusted him well before the Grammy-nominated producer allegedly sexually assaulted her, according to TMZ. The famous producer has worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B over the course of his career. LeMaistre’s court documents went on to allege that she became pregnant with his child after the rape, and said she ultimately decided to terminate the pregnancy in November 2016, according to TMZ.
The alleged victim said she was enduring depression after her 9-month-old son died during that time, but got on well with Metro Boomin while in Las Vegas in the spring of 2016, according to TMZ.
She claimed he opened his studio in Los Angeles to her and she witnessed him misusing codeine, in spite of cautionary words from his friends.
The documents went on to say she met him at his studio in September of that same year and ingested half of a Xanax pill and some alcohol due to grieving the death of her son. LeMaistre alleged that she blacked out atop a couch and Metro was over her raping her and carrying out oral sex on her when she came to, according to TMZ.
She went on to claim she blacked out and came to a second time only to hear Metro Boomin telling her she was in a Beverly Hills hotel room and had to go, according to TMZ. LeMaistre said in the documents that she had no recollection of how she ended up at that location.
LeMaistre’s lawsuit alleged the famous producer poked fun at the traumatic incident the following year on his single “Rap Saved Me,” featuring 21 Savage, Offset and Quavo. The court documents pointed to the lyrics, “She took a Xanny / Then she fainted / I’m from the gutter … ain’t no changing” as an example, according to TMZ.
Metro Boomin created the soundtrack for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and co-produced the majority of the songs on the album.
His 2022 album “Heroes & Villains” was nominated in the best rap album category at the Grammy Awards. He has worked alongside a number of artists, including Future, Kendrick Lamar, Offset, 21 Savage and A$AP Rocky.
Metro Boomin’s lawyer Lawrence Hinkle II from Sanders Roberts LLP issued a statement to TMZ saying, “This is a pure shakedown. These are false accusations. Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court.”
He continued, “He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails.” (RELATED: Alleged Male Victim Claims Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Raped Him At Age 10)
The lawsuit is after unspecified damages for mental pain and anguish as well as punitive damages.
