Hm… What an interesting way to recruit.
Antonio Pierce, currently the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, has been popped by the NCAA with an eight-year show-cause order that is a result of violations that he committed while he was an assistant football coach for the Arizona State Sun Devils — Herb Edwards was the head coach of ASU at the time.
The NCAA states in a 67-page report that Pierce was the head of a “scheme” that took place at Arizona State to “circumvent restrictions in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Pierce’s “scheme” featured 35 recruits that were contacted, with the NCAA labeling the interactions as “tryouts, football facility tours and entertainment.”
It was also discovered that the Raiders head coach directed an ASU assistant to tamper with a student-athlete that already went to another college. (RELATED: Kirk Cousins Throws For Insane 509 Yards To Lead Falcons To Unbelievable 36-30 OT Victory Against Buccaneers)
Pierce was also found by the NCAA that he had issued them “false or misleading information” and also didn’t show them any financial records. Also in the investigation, a staffer for Arizona State said Piece “did not fear the potential consequences for NCAA violations.”
Oh, but it gets even crazier.
The “entertainment” that the NCAA is talking about?
It features Arizona State taking a recruit’s parents to a strip club — yes, a strip club.

Winning by any means… Should we necessarily be mad at Antonio Pierce here?
