“Gossip Girl” actress Chanel Maya Banks reportedly filed for a restraining order against her mother and cousin amid allegations that they harassed her and attempted to destroy her credibility.
Banks filed the restraining order against her mother, Lutchmin Judy Kumar, and cousin, Danielle Singh, Thursday, according to TMZ. She claims her relatives worked together to destroy her reputation, arguing they refused to stop harassing her. The famous actress is also claiming that Kumar and Singh physically attacked her husband, TMZ reported Friday.
Her family reported her missing and requested that officers conduct a wellness check, she also claimed, according to TMZ. Banks said she was never in danger and that she told the family members she wanted distance from them.
The famous actress said she has text messages that show her family members threatened to “weaponize the police” against her, the outlet reported.
She alleges Kumar and Singh broke into her apartment Nov. 10 while she was away on a trip and allegedly attacked her husband, Carlos. She claims they stole his work badge and placed an Apple AirTag on her car to track her whereabouts. Banks said she filed a police report over the alleged incident, according to TMZ.
The actress said her mother and sister continued their attacks on her husband by accusing him of murder and claiming that she should be put on a 5150 psychiatric hold. (RELATED: Police Search For Broadway Star Zelig Williams Missing Under Mysterious Circumstances)
