Hackers reportedly broadcasted a fake video depicting President Donald Trump kissing Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s feet at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on Monday morning.
The fake video that appeared to be created by artificial intelligence took over the monitors at the agency’s Washington, D.C., headquarters, catching people in the cafeteria completely off-guard. The altered video showed an image of Trump kissing and caressing Musk’s feet alongside the words, “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.” The disturbing footage has been widely circulated online and the identity of the culprit behind the raunchy hoax remains unclear as of Monday morning.

“Another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources,” responded HUD spokeswoman Kasey Lovett in a statement, according to The New York Post. “Appropriate action will be taken for all involved.”
Social media erupted with calls for authorities to track down the hackers to hold them responsible for broadcasting the footage.

Many internet users took aim at disgruntled federal government workers, accusing them of being behind the twisted video.
The clip appeared two days after the Trump administration forced cuts across the federal government. Musk reportedly ordered federal workers to respond to an email demanding they summarize their accomplishments from the previous work week. Musk noted that failure to comply could count as a voluntary resignation.
