A massive brawl involving more than 100 students on three floors of a Chicago high school left at least four police officers injured Friday.
The Chicago Police Department (CPD) said five people were arrested, but did not provide any details, ABC7 News reported. Corey Johnson, the parent of a 15-year-old student, said the fight began between girls and quickly escalated into a brawl spanning multiple floors.
“It’s always something that happens here,” Johnson told the outlet. “[My son] said it was a girl fight, at first, and then it just hit so big that everybody started fighting.”

Another parent, Julnita McCoy, said her daughter reported that the school was placed on lockdown during the incident.
“My daughter had called me and told me it was a huge fight at her school, and they had the building on lockdown, and she could not get dismissed until I come and pick her up,” McCoy told the outlet. “She say, ‘I have to go to the bathroom and wash my face, because my face has mace all in it.’ She was walking to her classroom. How did a student even come in the building with some mace anyway?”
“At this school, every time you turn around it’s fights all the time at this school,” Johnson continued.
The Chicago Police Department did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
