Illinois police arrested a 24-year-old man from Atlanta for allegedly illegally recording people inside a women’s bathroom in a church for months.
The DuPage County State’s Attorney named the offender as Ramon Ochoa Garcia and charged him with illegally filming a person under 18 and filming people without their consent at Bloomingdale’s World Mission Society Church, ABC 7 News reported.

Authorities claim that Garcia used a small pen camera placed in a vent to record people in the bathroom and may have begun filming people as far back as Aug. 1. A church pastor allegedly discovered the pen and informed law enforcement. Prosecutors allege at least 24 people, including two young girls, may have been victims of the recordings.
The prosecution alleged that Garcia produced around 41 recordings from Aug. 1 to Oct. 5, the Daily Herald reported, citing court documents. One such video allegedly showed a girl changing her clothes in the bathroom. (RELATED:Police Arrest Michigan Pastor For Allegedly Hiding Camera In Church Bathroom)
The church told ABC 7 News that they have no comment on the affair as police continue their investigation. Garcia could face more charges as police discover more alleged victims. A judge refused the prosecution’s request Thursday to detain the accused before trial. The prosecution claimed that Garcia constituted a flight risk as he allegedly resides in a van.
