Police reportedly arrested gold-medal Olympian gymnast, Mary Lou Retton, May 17 on a DUI charge.
Court records from the West Virginia Magistrate Court system said Retton was arrested on a single count of “driving under influence of alcohol, controlled substances, or drugs; penalties,” People reported.
Retton was initially stopped by police after allegedly driving her grey Porsche “all over the roadway,” according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The court documents reportedly alleged that the famous American athlete reeked of booze and slurred her words while she was being questioned by police. The documents noted she allegedly had a container of wine in the passenger seat of her vehicle, TMZ reported.

She was issued a $1,500 personal recognizance bond, according to People. She reportedly posted the bond that same day.

She is the first U.S. woman to win a gold medal in the individual all-around gymnastics event.
