Former President Joe Biden exposed the propaganda press as the frauds just when they thought the cover-up was working.
CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson are on their media tour to promote their new book, “Original Sin,” about Biden’s failing mental acuity. On the surface, their job is to push book sales for Penguin Random House, but the real exercise behind the podcast and media appearances is to wash away the liberal media’s culpability in the cover-up.
But in true Biden fashion, he is undoing all their hard work by simply speaking in public.

“Original Sin” claims to be the “full, unsettling truth … being told for the first time.” But this isn’t the first time. Americans knew. But the media wants us to believe that regular, everyday people were able to figure out something was wrong with Biden, but somehow well-connected journalists couldn’t see the obvious. Even if this were true, and Tapper and the rest of the regime media had no clue Biden’s mind was failing, missing something like this should end in firings. The people charged with holding the most powerful among us accountable missed the biggest scandal of our lifetime.
But no one will get fired. Instead, they all hope that Tapper and Thompson’s book tour wins them back enough favor with Americans to wash away their sins. Tapper and the rest don’t deserve to be allowed to wash their hands of this stain. They should have to wear it for the rest of their life as a reminder not to trust them.

The book doesn’t have a single “mea culpa” moment. It pretends as if all Americans were just as in the dark about Biden as left-wing media was, and that it wasn’t until the infamous debate between Trump and Biden in July 2024 that they had their realization moment that Biden officials had been lying to them.
Among the long list of reasons liberal media lost their credibility with the American people is their negligence in reporting the truth on Biden’s mental and physical health. And what made Biden’s recent public appearance so incredible was that he was acting any differently than he did on the campaign trail in 2020 or over the last four years. This wasn’t anything new. He’s the same Biden whose mental acuity was not up to par.
All Tapper and Thompson had to do over the last five years was watch and listen to Biden attempt to function on the world stage to see that he wasn’t doing well. Early in the 2020 campaign, alternative media began to question whether Biden was physically and mentally capable of handling the rigorous job of president. All of Biden’s gaffes that outlets like the Daily Caller brought attention to what Americans could clearly see, liberal media hit back with claims that we were running cover for President Donald Trump and his campaign. We were mocked and chastised for pointing out the obvious.
To Thompson’s credit, he was one of the only left-wing media reporters to bring attention to Biden’s health. Still, he was well behind the curve. But Tapper has no excuse. He was a key figure in the defense of Biden and his ability to lead the country, which makes his new role in whitewashing the media’s involvement in the cover-up through their book that much more disturbing.
His excuse for not reporting on this story during Biden’s term is that people in the Biden administration restricted his access to the former president and told him that Biden was in perfect health. He claimed he didn’t have a single source who warned him just how bad Biden had gotten.
Tapper is expecting Americans to believe that one of CNN’s top talents didn’t have a single (much less many) well-positioned sources who could have sent him information about Biden’s health. This is the hubris of legacy media showing.
Ironically, it’s Biden’s latest public appearance that is exposing them as frauds. There’s no way they didn’t know.
