One month after meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation.
Trump can’t take all the credit for removing the little tyrant to the north. Trudeau and his party are plagued by terrible approval ratings, and polls show Canada’s Liberal Party is set to lose a record number of parliament seats in October’s election. However, Trudeau’s visit to Trump’s Florida compound was a foreshadowing of the political end of his reign of terror in Canada.
Trudeau is going to step down, 10 months before his country’s next election when his party is expected to go from 153 seats in parliament to 9 according to polling.

Shortly after Trump threatened the Canadian government with a 25% tariff on all goods coming into the U.S. from Canada, Trudeau practically ran to Florida to beg him not to do it. A tariff would make the cost of living in Canada skyrocket from its already unbearably high level, essentially putting the nail in the coffin of Trudeau’s reelection.

If you have to beg for an audience with the president, you’re already losing. However, Trudeau didn’t just have to travel to Mar-a-Lago to plead for mercy (which he did). He also allowed Trump to emasculate him publicly while he begged. (Terror Attack Confirms Conservatives’ Worst Fears Of The Biden Security State)
Trump’s tariffs threat was contingent on Canada (and Mexico) closing down the free flow of illegal immigration and drugs into the U.S. Trudeau likely thought he’d be able to go to Florida to smooth things over. Still, instead of a private dinner with Trump, he got a public dose of humiliation.
🚨 Breaking: Trump says Trudeau is Castro’s son 👇
“His mother was associated with Castro, calling him ‘the sexiest man I’ve ever met,’ and many say Justin is his son. Castro had good hair, the ‘father’ didn’t, Justin has good hair, and has become a Communist just like Castro.” pic.twitter.com/SB7lQAJXHa

Trump hosted Trudeau in a crowded dining room with hundreds of people gawking at him while he tried to deny the open border issues while simultaneously promising to add extra security measures like drones, helicopters, and agents.

Trudeau looked weak as Trump seemingly played DJ on his iPad while he made his case. Trump even joked with Trudeau that it wasn’t too late to make Canada the 51st state, making him the governor of Canada. A joke that Trump would continue to make publicly after the meeting.
Trudeau went back to Canada as nothing more than a joke.

It is pretty funny that a month after that meeting with Trump he is resigning. pic.twitter.com/hv62GxBLCz

What else could he do when Canada (like many other countries) heavily depends on the U.S. consumer to keep its economy afloat? Still, there is only one way for Trudeau to get out of the tariff noose off his neck.
Trump’s threat is contingent on Canada (and Mexico) closing down the free flow of illegal immigration and drugs into the U.S., a move that is antithetical to the way the Liberal Party has governed their nation. (ROOKE: ‘America First’ Already Teaching Republicans A Valuable Lesson On Our Broken Nation)
“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!”
Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat. Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned. If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way…

Trudeau’s departure marks yet another globalist leader who fell in the aftermath of the last four years of economic turmoil. U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, France’s Emmanuel Macron, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz were all denounced by voters for their failed leadership.
His public flogging by Trump was merely the end of a long year for Trudeau and his Liberal Party.
