Americans voted to give President-elect Donald Trump a mandate to enact his campaign promises. Without even stepping foot in the Oval Office, he’s already delivering.
In one of Trump’s closing rallies in North Carolina, he unveiled his promise to use tariffs as a vehicle to force offending countries, like Mexico, to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into our country.
Mexico going to call his bluff and/or run out the clock on his 2nd term.
Americans won’t be happy paying 25% more for products.

“We’re being invaded by Mexico. But now they have a new president in Mexico … very, a very nice woman, they say, I haven’t met her. And I’m going to inform her, on day one or sooner, that, if they don’t stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I’m going to immediately impose a 25 percent tariff on everything they send into the United States of America,” Trump promised. He added that he believes his plan “has a 100% chance of working,” but if the 25% tariff doesn’t stop the inflow of illegal immigrants, he’ll keep increasing the percentage until it does.
“If that doesn’t work, I’ll make it 50, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll make it 75. Then I’ll make it 100,” Trump said.

Like clockwork, Democrats’ pals in regime media called his economic restrictions “deranged” and that he “clearly has no idea how tariffs work.”
“Donald Trump’s most recent tariffs announcement reaffirms what we already knew: He’s just making things up as he goes along,” The New Republic wrote.
Once again, it seems that Trump is correct, and the media class is wrong. The same day Trump had a phone call with Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum, a massive caravan of over 3,000 illegal immigrants heading for the U.S.-Mexico border had shrunk to roughly half its size.

Hopeful border crossers even told Reuters that they were dismayed by Trump’s win because it would have been easier to enter the U.S. illegally should Vice President Kamala Harris had won. (Trump’s Victory Paves Path For 20 Years Of The Left Losing)
The readout of their phone call was thin, giving Americans little insight into what was actually said during their talk. Knowing how Trump successfully used tariffs and other economic sanctions against other countries during his first term, however, one can surmise that the illegal immigrant crisis and tariff threat were mentioned.
Stopping the economic and criminal activity hurting our country is exactly why Americans voted for him. We want strong borders and for our elected officials to enforce immigration policies. Over the last four years, President Biden and Harris ignored our pleas for help while Americans suffered.

First, they told us there was no crisis. Then, when it could no longer be covered up by the CNNs and MSNBCs of the world, they claimed it was Republicans who were preventing them from closing the border. But it was too late for them. Americans saw the weaponization of the CBP app, which allowed illegal immigrants a way to schedule their arrivals. We saw the memos instructing Border Patrol agents to release them. Social media videos of buses and airplanes full of illegal immigrants flooded the country with enough information for Americans to place the blame where it belongs: the Biden-Harris administration.

Our media class will heavily push to downplay the effectiveness of Trump’s tariffs. Still, in this situation, they’re already saving Americans from the effects of the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous border policies. Trump’s win is already producing results.
