While speaking to the media in an opening statement Monday, it was clear that the tragic school shooting in Madison, Wisconsin was bothering Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers.
“Not a lot to say. Just a shame that this keeps happening,” said Rivers. “Kids can’t go to school safe, and it just seems like we don’t do anything about it. The shooting at Abundant Life Christian School killed two people and injured six others.
According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, a teacher and teen student were shot and killed Monday afternoon. Per Barnes, the family of the suspected shooter is cooperating with authorities. Two students are currently in critical condition with injuries that are considered life-threatening, while another teacher and three other individuals suffered injuries that are non-life-threatening.

According to Madison Police, the shooter was a 15-year-old female student at the school. A handgun was found by police where the shooting took place.
Going by the name Samantha, Natalie Rupnow passed away while going to the hospital from what authorities believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An official ruling on the cause and way of death will be reached by the county medical examiner.
“Every child, every person in that building is a victim and will be a victim forever. We need to figure out and try to piece together what exactly happened,” said Barnes.
