Tesla recalled a variety of its models with issues of the electric vehicle’s gauging tire pressure.

With the season changing, winter weather is affecting the air pressure in car tires. The 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles are reporting problems in the tire pressure indicator light, which prompted the recall.

Owners of these vehicles can fix the issue with a free software upgrade. In the meantime, the company is working to notify owners via mail by Feb. 15.

Cybertrucks in particular have reported seven recalls this year. Among the first came an April recall where the NHTSA issued a notice to Tesla that every Cybertruck manufactured between November 13, 2023, to April 4, 2024 was at an increased “risk of a collision” due to the pedal which could become trapped and cause unintentional acceleration.

“An unapproved change introduced lubricant (soap) to aid in the component assembly of the pad onto the accelerator pedal. Residual lubricant reduced the retention of the pad to the pedal,” the NHTSA explained in its notice.

This comes after the company has experienced two consecutive recalls since last year which both lead to 2 million of its electric vehicles each respective recall. At the time, the NHTSA found the vehicle’s warning lights were too small and deemed them unsafe for drivers.
