Get ’em, Rickie!
When it comes to being a professional golfer, PGA superstar Rickie Fowler doesn’t show too much emotion, but Saturday was a completely different story as he spazzed out on a fan at the Cognizant Classic.
Throughout the week, Fowler was performing well on the leaderboard’s first page, but the third round brought him a bump in the road. On the Par 4 16th hole, Fowler missed a putt for a birdie, but narrowly on the north side of the hole. Well, after the missed putt, a fan ended up yelling something at him, but Fowler had no interest whatsoever in just taking it. Fowler chirped back at the fan, saying “of course you know,” and then just a few moments later, he added “that’s why you’re in the stands.”
A true mic drop moment … you can watch it here.
Here’s how Fowler performed in the rest of the tournament:
Not the Sunday we were hoping for.
Didn’t find enough fairways, iron shots weren’t close enough. Just a poor way to finish what was a good first 3 days of golf.
