One thing is for certain: America loves watching Caitlin Clark.

Here we go again, ladies and gentlemen, with the Indiana Fever superstar pulling in a seven-figure television audience, doing so in the WNBA where it’s hard to come across those kinds of ratings. Clark‘s opps will deny that it’s because of her, but let’s be honest here… It’s because of her.

This past Saturday, Clark and the Fever were defeated in a nailbiter against the New York Liberty, the defending WNBA champions. Clark tallied a stat line of 18 points, 10 assists and five rebounds, while on the flip side, putting up a season-high 10 turnovers and shooting 2-11 from the three-point line. With that being said, she was just one of two Fever players who had a positive plus-minus.

Sadly for Clark fans, Indiana made the announcement following the contest that Clark suffered an injury to her quadriceps, and as a result, will miss at least a couple of weeks. It’ll be the first time since high school that Clark has missed action. (RELATED: WNBA Releases What Has To Be Most Useless Statement Of All-Time)

But now we’re back to some good news, because that’s just how “The Caitlin Clark Effect” works. In the season-opening victory against her rival Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, Clark brought in a whopping 2.7 million viewers, already having the credit for that. Well, in the game between the Fever and Liberty, Clark & Co. tallied more than 2.2 million.

In the past two years, the game was the fifth-highest in terms of ratings for a WNBA contest, and those four other games…?

None other than “The Caitlin Clark Effect.”

Absolutely wild stuff … now if only she can learn how to violate her opps and stop being so damn politically correct.
