“The Northman” star Anya Taylor-Joy reportedly hid in fear as masked men raided a home she was staying at and were said to have attempted to make their way into her bedroom.
The Hollywood actress was reportedly left “shaken but unharmed” after the incident which occurred Feb. 12 2023, according to The Sun. Reporting restrictions at Wood Green crown court in North London were lifted Nov. 3, allowing for the release of this information. Two intruders allegedly forced their way into a luxury property where Taylor-Joy and her husband were staying. The homeowner is a well-known celebrity whose identity was not revealed, according to The Sun.
28-year old Taylor-Joy and her 30-year-old husband Malcolm McRae reportedly locked themselves in a bedroom and hid while the masked men allegedly made their way through the home during the terrifying ordeal.
McRae’s bandmate, Kane Ritchotte, was also inside at the residence during the incident, according to The Sun.
It is believed the masked suspects left empty-handed, according to The Sun. Met Police were told of the break-in and CCTV video was analyzed as part of the investigation. Police conducted forensic checks at the residence and were able to take one of the suspects into custody. Kirk Holdrick, 42, has been accused and remains in prison after entering a plea of not guilty. He is scheduled to stand trial in September.
The second suspect remains at large at this time and hast yet to be publicly identified. Holdrick participated via video link from behind bars at least six times regarding the case, according to The Sun. He had previously dated a reality television star in 2022. Police alleged Holdrick and the second suspect broke a glass pane to gain entry into the luxury home, according to The Sun. Taylor-Joy, McRae and Kane are considered witnesses in this ongoing case.
