Trevor wants back in the majors!
Major League Baseball has reinstated the legendary Pete Rose, and while that’s fine and dandy and everything, it has a lot of people asking questions. This includes ex-Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer, who wants to know simply, what about him?
Last pitching for an MLB team in 2021, Bauer took to social media to knock the league the day following Rose and other legends being reinstated into baseball.
In 1989, Rose was placed on Major League Baseball‘s permanent ineligibility list for gambling on the sport. (RELATED: Raccoon Causes Hilarious Ruckus During Pirates-Mets Game Drenched By Rain)
With Bauer, he’s been away from MLB for four years because of the allegations of sexual assault that hit him back in 2021. As a result, he was put on administrative leave, which escalated to a 324-game suspension. After an appeal, that number was dropped to 194.
Bauer is currently playing in the Nippon Professional Baseball League in Japan.
“So, since Pete is welcome back now, does that go for everyone who has been blackballed? Or do you actually have to be guilty of something to qualify for that?” questioned Bauer.
