President-elect Donald Trump condemned President Joe Biden issuing a pardon to his son Hunter on Sunday night, deeming it “an abuse and miscarriage of Justice.”
In a Truth Social post, Trump said, “Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!”
Biden’s decision to pardon his son was made less than two months before he leaves office in January 2025, when Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th president. Biden said in a statement that he struggled with the decision but concluded over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend that his son was “treated differently” during the Department of Justice’s nearly six-year investigation and prosecution of his son.
