The NBA doesn’t need anymore problems, but here’s another one …
Monday night brought us an absolutely crazy scene during the game between the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves, with an object falling from the Target Center in Minneapolis and nearly crashing into not just one, but two players.
The debris came from the Jumbotron, barely missing Minnesota center Rudy Gobert and Atlanta power forward Mouhamed Gueye. Gobert was seen pointing at the Jumbotron while in a huddle with the team. Fans who were watching the game got a quick glance at the item — what the hell is that? — and you better believe the NBA exhaled out some stress.
If you care, the Timberwolves won by a 100-92 score, despite their arena falling apart piece by piece.

But, surely, it can’t be good to see anything fall from the top of your arena.
Which leads me to these questions: Are you sure you want to buy the Minnesota Timberwolves, Alex Rodriguez? Do you really want to step into a situation where you’re going to have to get a new stadium sorted out? And you’d be doing this with a team in Minneapolis where no top-tier NBA free agent wants to go?
Sounds like nothing but a massive headache to me — I’d pass.
