Rapper Kiari “Offset” Cephus got into a heated altercation outside a Paris hotel that escalated into a brawl involving kicks to a man’s head and a woman being knocked to the ground.
A video of the brawl shared by TMZ shows a group of men confronting Offset and his crew as they tried to leave the Hôtel du Collectionneur on Wednesday night. Sources told TMZ the men were from French rapper Gazo’s entourage, who were upset over a failed business deal. They alleged that they had paid offset $150,000 for a video shoot, but said Offset’s “laziness” led him to breach the terms of the agreement, according to the outlet.
The fight spilled onto the street as both groups engaged in the violent scuffle.
The confrontation escalated further when Gazo’s crew demanded that Offset return the money, which he refused to do, sparking the violent exchange, according to the outlet. The video shows Offset’s team attempting to deescalate the situation, but tensions flared when who appeared to be one of Gazo’s men slammed Offset into a vehicle as he attempted to leave the scene.
Offset shouted, “I’ll fire your ass up!” and tried to jump into the fight, but his crew held him back to prevent things from getting worse.
The altercation became more physical as the two groups shoved and shouted at each other in the street. When one of Gazo’s men appeared to kicked an Offset associate in the head, it seemed to pushed the rapper over the edge. Despite his team holding him back, Offset appeared to land a swift kick before being escorted into the hotel lobby, where his team blocked the doors to prevent him from rejoining the fray.
