Recently released video shows several members of the Los Angeles Police Department arrest rapper Polo G.
Cameras rolled as the police surrounded the rapper’s home in marked cars and issued a series of demands through a megaphone, including for the occupants of the mansion to exit the residence with their hands up, as seen in video TMZ shared Oct. 22. Fully uniformed officers covered the area with their guns poised as Polo G and his acquaintances exited the residence one by one. The famous artist was promptly handcuffed and taken into custody, where he currently remains, according to the outlet.
The video shows members of the community lining the streets with their cameras recording as the dramatic arrest unfolds.
Law enforcement officials said they pulled the rapper over for speeding in the San Fernando Valley area Saturday afternoon and claimed they found a loaded pistol in his car. That prompted the singer’s arrest, according to TMZ.
Polo G was handcuffed and arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon.
The famous rapper was still in police custody at the time of publication. It’s unclear if he will be able to get out on bond in time for his upcoming Hood Poet Tour that is slated to kick off Oct. 24 in Denver.
