Wait … This happened in Chicago?!
People shopping in a grocery store got quite the shock just recently, this because of a coyote who ended up finding himself in the supermarket. And to make this situation even spicier, the coyote was behind the shelves of the shop — probably getting some of that good grub!
But what makes this story peak-wild for me is the fact that it’s in Chicago. Not a place like Texas or Arizona, but friggin’ Chicago! Chiraq itself!

You sweep stuff, and that’s exactly what they tried to do with the coyote as he was behind the cheese — not the cheese! Eventually, authorities were able to get the animal out. However, things quickly went out of control again like a classic scene from Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Right after the animal was yanked out by his tail, he hopped right back into the shelves. And I gotta say, this was a pretty damn big coyote.
Ultimately, be was caught and locked up by Chicago Animal Control and Care. No one was hurt.
“The animal is currently at our facility awaiting transfer to our wildlife rehabilitation partner, Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation,” Chicago Animal Control and Care stated to NBC Chicago.
